Lake Shor Dive closed for 34 hours - Chicago has officaly been buried

Since Monday morning the Chicago buzz has been all about the weather.  I've become kind of a skeptic of these "weather predictions", so I say" I'll believe when I see it".  Sure enough I am left in pure belief.  Tuesday afternoon brought in atrocious winds creating side ways snow.  By Tuesday night I am seeing lightning, hearing thunder and watching the whitest snow coming down like perfect marbles.  LAKE SHORE DRIVE CLOSED, it became very serious.  Waves from Lake Michigan were said to be over 25 feet high and able to crash onto the road.  That's scary! Well, we are on day 2 of the 2011 blizzard and I'm left wondering, Where is all this snow going to go? The city has now done a good job at cleaning off the major roads but what about the rest of the city? I have yet to see a snow plow come down my north-side side street but I'm not mad.  I'll give a thanks to the city workers now, they have a lot of work at their hands.....and we need them.
