That's right, fat-free chocolate! Thanks to the researchers from the University of Warwick, a report has been submitted for a "healthier fruit juice infused chocolate confectionery." This simply means a form of fruit juice will be infused with the chocolate mixture, creating chocolate that without the fat. According to the researcher, Stefan Bon, the fat contained in the chocolate is what gives the smooth texture. With the fruit juice, the chocolate still retains its consistency but is more healthy for the consumer. Researchers also found that by adding vitamin C solution instead of the juice, the fruity taste would be removed thus tasting like the same chocolaty taste we've all come to love. Hopefully this variation of chocolate will make its way to the market because we'll be in line waiting to purchase ours!
